John Tacchi
As a qualified lawyer and former investment banker I have a detailed knowledge of UK corporate law (including contract law) and am highly skilled in mergers and acquisitions. However, I have spent the last 10 years working in the NHS as an interim director leading various change programmes. I have also led a GP Provider Company (BIG Practice Ltd) that numbered 87 practices in Birmingham.
I have been a trustee of Age UK Barnet for over 5 years and was asked to become a trustee after volunteering for a number of years. I feel strongly that the charity sector has a very important part to play in the provision of integrated services, especially healthcare, and am keen to do whatever I can to help. I was attracted to the ReCap proposition after re-connecting with Jim St. Johnston who is an old friend. We had lost touch but when he told me of the difficulties he had faced in life and how he overcame them, I felt inspired. The proposition makes so much sense to me and addiction is a problem that few providers want to deal with and ReCap supports an innovative way of dealing with the problem, supporting those who want to exit the addiction cycle.
